Don't get it twisted though, we're not anti-vision. We support it. If anything, we're pro-vision.
HOW DAN KOE USES ANTI VISION TO CREATE HIS DREAMS
Don't get it twisted though, we're not anti-vision. We support it. If anything, we're pro-vision.
The Man With The Once Luscious Hair
Daniel Koe is someone you may be familiar with. He is a modern philosopher, thinker, and creative.
One that took his knowledge of money, skills, and life to social media, where he now has over 4 million followers combined. He also makes over 3 million a year. We figured that would add to the credibility a bit.
And this is all at the age of 29. Yet another one of them youngsters doing some wild stuff at their age.
But he didn’t do this through just stumbling around and putting money on red. He had the help of something he likes to think on
The anti-vision.
What’s That?
The opposite of a vision. We could end the newsletter there. But we need to paint you a prettier picture.
Actually, an uglier one is what I meant.
Dan thinks, scratch that, he knows, that to get where we want to get to in life, we first have to define where we don’t want to get to in life.
We humans have this thing called the prefrontal cortex that we use 24/7 to simulate experiences. We project our past, envision our future, or get lost in self-talk.
And the reason people end up in lives that they hate is because they weren’t using that imagination dome to their advantage.
It becomes a lot easier to lose weight when you picture yourself looking fat as hell.
So this is what you need to do: Find out what version of you you’d hate to become, so you know to do the opposite
Afraid of getting fat? Hit the gym. Afraid of never growing that YouTube channel? Post daily.
Negative Emotions Are Bad Though
Are they? Sure. it’s better to run off happiness, sunshine, rainbows. Maybe that lasts a bit longer. But the truth is, as long as there is gas in the tank, you’re up and running.
And good and bad is a construct of the mind. Let’s say I use my anti-vision.
I get pissed that in the future my waistline is looking off, and I feel that anger then hit an intense workout.
Is that bad? Not really. Because those negative emotions I used through my anti-vision just got me in the gym.
And this isn’t just backed by my unauthorized words. It is a psychological fact that we hate to lose things more than we like to gain things.
Similarly, we might run faster when we’re running away from something we don’t want, than we would if we were running to something we do want.
Imagine instead of chasing a carrot on a stick, you were running from an elephant about to trample you.
Entropy Dilemma
Maybe whipping out that journal and defining your anti-vision is just too much work. You don’t need to do all that.
Just kidding. Think again.
Ever heard of entropy? It’s the degree of disorder or uncertainty in a system. This is how most people live, and this is what will lead you to a life you don’t want.
After all, if you have no plan, everything is going according to plan, is it not? So those who do not give their lives some kind of order will have it given to them, simple as that.
Odds are you have been living out your anti-vision by just letting things happen.
So hone in on one big goal. What is it that you want, and that you don’t?
The moment you know what you don’t want, what you do, and the actions to take, it’s a pretty obvious failure or success.
You’re either getting closer to the goal or you’re not, but it all starts with intention.
